Hubzin promet, drzi orginal prvu ugradnju, 'Prva Petoletka' (Made in Serbia), cijena ~35E.
The string
"IS 2172-M12 x 1,5" refers to a specific type of fastener or threaded component, typically a bolt, nut, or stud with metric threading.
Here is a breakdown of the designation:
IS 2172: This is likely a standard or part number designation from a specific organization or manufacturer, possibly related to a local standard in some regions (e.g., India Standards, or in this context, potentially JUS/Yugoslavian standards, as it appears in a document alongside other JUS and IS standards).
M12: This indicates a metric thread with a nominal diameter of 12 millimeters.
1,5 (or 1.5): This indicates a fine thread pitch of 1.5 millimeters. A standard M12 thread would typically have a 1.75mm pitch.
M12x1.5 vs M12x1.75
refers to metric bolts with the same 12mm diameter but different thread pitches: M12x1.5 is a finer thread (closer threads), while M12x1.75 is a coarser (standard) thread with more space between threads, meaning they are not interchangeable and will not fit each other without damaging threads.
Key Differences Explained
M12: Both fasteners have a 12mm nominal (major) diameter, the width of the bolt's shank.
Pitch (x1.5 vs. x1.75): This number is the distance between adjacent thread crests, measured in millimeters.
M12x1.5 (Fine Thread): Threads are closer together (1.5mm apart).
M12x1.75 (Coarse/Standard Thread): Threads are farther apart (1.75mm apart).
Why They Don't Mix
Using the wrong pitch will cause problems:
M12x1.75 into M12x1.5 hole: The coarser threads will try to cut into the finer threads, stripping them and ruining the fastener or the threaded hole (like an oil pan).
M12x1.5 into M12x1.75 hole: The fine threads won't properly engage the coarser threads, leading to a weak, unreliable connection, or it might not even start.
In essence, think of it like trying to fit a wide-toothed comb into a very fine-toothed comb's slot – they don't match up correctly
